Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We have answers.

How does pricing work?

Pricing has two tracks: Retail Operators and MSPs & Partners. Each plan includes a generous device bucket, then applies transparent monthly overage pricing when your rollout grows past the included capacity.

How does repository-based distribution work?

Tillforge uses a repo-backed model to treat packages and configuration as versioned artifacts. This enables reviewable changes, predictable promotion between environments, and targeted rollouts to the right stores and devices, without requiring broad production access for day-to-day updates.

Does Tillforge build the Windows image?

No. The base operating system gets onto a till by means you already control: the device's recovery partition, a prepared USB image kept in the vault, or local PXE network boot. Tillforge takes over once Windows is up: it registers the machine, names it, sets network and domain, installs drivers, software, and peripherals, applies configuration, and keeps it patched and monitored from there.

Can I run Tillforge for my own customers as an MSP?

Yes. The partner track manages each customer as a separate, isolated tenant under your own brand and custom domain. You bill each one as its own subscription with usage-based overages, EU VAT is handled with live VIES checks and gap-free invoice numbering, and you can drive everything by API from your existing PSA or RMM.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. A 14-day trial with full access to every feature, no credit card required. Tell us about your stores and we will get you set up.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan as your rollout changes. Plan changes are coordinated around your billing cycle so device overage and tenant access remain predictable.

What kind of support do you offer?

All plans include support. Retail Professional and Partner Pro add priority support, while Scale and Partner Scale include dedicated account or channel management with stronger SLA coverage.

Do you offer on-premise deployment?

Yes, on-premise deployment is available on the Scale plan. Contact sales to discuss infrastructure and rollout requirements.

How secure is Tillforge?

Agents authenticate every request and talk over HTTPS, and deployment packages can be signed and verified file by file, so a till only runs the bytes you approved. Access is role-based with two-factor authentication, API keys are scoped and revocable, credentials are encrypted at rest, and every change is audit-logged.
